poem: do not kick up the mud

paddling the raft
to the rivers’ far shore
encountering rough waters

falling off
sinking to the bottom
fearful and thrashing about

kicking up the muddy bottom
everything obliterated
in the dark, cloudy water

dimly the stalk of a lotus
appears and the paddler
climbs back to the waters surface

when hitting rough waters
on your journey
do not kick up the mud

like the lotus plant
firmly rooted in the mud
raise a flower to the heavens

poem: at the feet of the Master

Khrisna comes in
joyful service to all beings
through divine, self-less devotion

we meet the Buddha within
(not the Buddha on the road)
through right understanding

Christ comes down to us
in radical grace and radical love
through Cosmic consciousness

for the Master to appear,
the student is to be ready,
open, and receptive

preparing the way
knowing not the time or place
our very being transformed

practice little truth seeker,
always ready, do the deep work,
participate

poem: citizens of the kin-dom

to whom or what are we loyal?

our ego (self),
Caesar (the empire),
dominant ideology,
the church,
politics,

your tribe

to whom or what do we surrender?

capitalism,
consumerism,
the powerful and controlling,
violence,
our mind,

nothing

until one is ready

to surrender their partial views
for the Big Picture,
one’s limited awareness
for the One Universal
Cosmic Consciousness,

we live incompletely

from our atomistic state

of partiality, one must
fully turn around and open
to Life Fulfilled Wholly
whereby the Consciousness
of the Universal Cosmic Christ

infills our self-emptying

the Great Cosmic Life Force

of the Universe, says Yes
to humanity and radical grace
and radical love for All, comes down
to us healing our wounds and offering
authenticity of diverse alternative

communities of belonging together
