poem: the humility of aging
in the falling upward of aging
a broken ankle nurtures humility
to appreciate the smallest acts
the kind hellos of others
the understanding of strangers
a snack of peanut butter and crackers
ice and a straw for a cold drink of water
one becomes an aficionado
of the ordinary grace of
falling upward on our journey Home
